VASTU FOR PUJA ROOM- SIGNIFICANCE, DIRECTIONS,VASTU TIPS- A PERFECT GUIDE FOR YOU.
We are Indians and it’s very probable that we all have a pooja room/mandir/puja ghar/prayer area/temple in our homes. We worship our god for prosperity, health, wealth and happiness. We hope and seek for good vibes and that is only possible when you put everything together in a certain way which will incline your home towards happiness. This includes placing your mandir in a certain direction and knowing the significance of everything you put out in your puja room. It becomes very important because the puja room is the area of our house where we seek the most positive vibes and we come there to calm ourselves. Vastu shastra provides the best ways in which you can set up your whole house including the bedroom, kitchen, stairs and even the puja room(temple). The better you place your puja room, the more prosperous your family and the occupants become.
DIRECTION OF THE MANDIR(puja room) IN YOUR HOME-
The direction of the temple or the puja room of one’s house affects the positive vibes. The mandir should be in a North – eastern direction. in Hinduism, there is a much known direction known as the “ishak Kona” and this is the place where the God resides and placing your kitchen in this direction gains you health, wealth and prosperity. This direction is considered to be the most auspicious and sacred direction in Hinduism. The divine vitality that is there in the mandir area is surreal and we desire it. Thus, placing the mandir in the correct direction becomes crucial.
NOTE- We know that the puja room takes a lot of space and it’s not possible for everyone to have that much space in their homes, so what you can do is place a small mandir mounted on the wall and worship the god there.
WHERE SHOULD BE THE FACE OF DIFFERENT GODS ACCORDING TO VASTU SHASTRA?
LORD HANUMAN – he should always be kept in the southern direction of the puja room or the mandir.
LORD SHIVA or the SHIVLING – Lord Shiva or the SHIVLING should be of not a very huge size and it is recommended to avoid the southern and western part of the home. The shivling should be placed in the northern part of the temple.
LORD GANESH OR GANPATI- He must be placed on the left side of goddess laxmi and goddess laxmi should be plced on the left of goddess saraswati. When creating a puja room, it is crucial to verify that the deities in the mandir in the house gaze at the correct guidance. Furthermore, flowers and garlands should not be placed on deity idols’ faces. As per Vastu, stop putting the statues on the ground of the hindu temple.
DIRECTION THE ONE DOING THE PUJA SHOULD FACE WHILE WORSHIPING THE DEITIES –
As much as the direction of God’s face is important, the direction you’re worshiping is also important. The person doing the puja(or worshiping) should face the western or the eastern direction and then do the puja.
SOME TIPS IMPORTANT TO KNOW-
When you are doing the puja or the prayers it’s very important to avoid sitting on the bare floor, instead use a mat or a “paata” to sit and offer the prayers. It’s important to have light colors in the temple and avoid tacky and loud colors to invite most of the good vibes. It’s prohibited to use or hang the pictures of the people who have died in your home to be placed in the temple. Broken or old idols should be replaced immediately. There should not be a mandir in your bedroom. The idols should not be kept in a random fashion. You should avoid placing the mandir under the stairs.
